New Delhi, July 17 (APAC Media): The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of IAS Raval Hamendra Kumar as Director.
He has been posted in the Department of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation under the Ministry of Jal Shakti.
The appointment has been made for a five year tenure under the Central Staffing Scheme, according to a notification issued on July 16, 2026.
Raval Hamendra Kumar is a 2011-batch Tripura cadre IAS officer. Before his Central deputation, he was serving as Special Secretary in the School Education Department, Government of Tripura.
Born on August 18, 1984, he holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Kota.
During his career in the Tripura cadre, Kumar has served in several important administrative positions, including:
- Special Secretary, Government of Tripura
- District Collector and District Magistrate
- Chief Executive Officer
His experience spans district administration, education and state governance.
As Director, Kumar will be responsible for water resource management, river conservation and key programmes under the Ministry of Jal Shakti, including the National Mission for Clean Ganga.
