New Delhi, July 29 (APAC Media): The Delhi Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, has approved a Rs 2,500 monthly financial assistance scheme for eligible women in the national capital.
The registration portal for the scheme will go live on August 1, with the government expecting to release the first instalment around Raksha Bandhan, subject to verification and approval of applications.

Under the scheme, eligible women in Delhi will receive Rs 2,500 every month as financial assistance.

Registration Process Begins August 1
Applications will be accepted through a dedicated online portal starting August 1.
After registration, applications will be scrutinised and verified by the concerned authorities before beneficiaries are approved.
The government clarified that financial assistance will be released only after the verification process is completed.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said the scheme fulfils a key commitment made to the women of Delhi and reaffirmed the government’s focus on women-centric welfare initiatives.
According to the government, the scheme is intended to:
- Provide regular financial support to eligible women.
- Promote financial independence.
- Strengthen women-focused welfare measures across Delhi.
Minister Welcomes Cabinet Decision
Delhi Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa described the scheme as a significant welfare initiative and said it would serve as a special Raksha Bandhan gift for women in the capital.
He confirmed that registrations would commence on August 1 and expressed confidence that the first payments would be released after the verification process is completed.
