Bhopal, July 29 (APAC Media): The Madhya Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, has announced the launch of the Jan Vishwas Abhiyan from August 7 to strengthen public outreach, ensure faster grievance redressal and improve the implementation of government welfare schemes across the state.
The campaign will be held every Friday, with ministers, public representatives, district collectors, and government officials visiting villages and urban wards to interact directly with citizens and review the delivery of public services at the grassroots level.
Weekly Governance Drive to Strengthen Public Trust
The Jan Vishwas Abhiyan is aimed at making governance more accessible by taking the administration directly to the people.
Under the initiative, officials will:
- Hear public grievances directly.
- Ensure timely resolution of eligible complaints.
- Review the implementation of government welfare schemes.
- Verify whether benefits are reaching eligible beneficiaries.
- Improve transparency and administrative accountability.
As part of the campaign, the state government has decided that regular high-level meetings at the Mantralaya, divisional, and district levels will not be held on Fridays.
Instead, ministers and senior officials will spend the day in the field, engaging with citizens and reviewing development works in their respective areas.
Ministers will begin the campaign in the districts assigned to them.
Faster Grievance Redressal
A key objective of the initiative is to make the grievance redressal system more responsive and citizen-centric.
Officials will attempt to resolve complaints on the spot wherever possible. Issues requiring further action will be addressed within a stipulated timeline.
The campaign will also assess the implementation of government schemes across rural and urban areas.
Officials will evaluate whether welfare programmes are reaching intended beneficiaries and identify gaps in implementation.
The state government has warned that strict action will be taken against officials found guilty of corruption, negligence or irregularities during the campaign. Disciplinary proceedings may be initiated wherever necessary.
