New Delhi, July 30 (APAC Media): State-owned NBCC (India) Limited has signed an agreement with the Government of the Republic of Seychelles to develop the Ile Aurore Housing Project, a USD 75 million affordable housing initiative funded through the Export-Import Bank of India (EXIM Bank) under its Line of Credit (LoC) programme.
The project will see the construction of 1,008 affordable housing units, along with supporting infrastructure, reinforcing India’s infrastructure partnership with Seychelles.
1,008 Affordable Homes to Be Developed
As part of the agreement, NBCC will be responsible for the execution of the Ile Aurore Housing Project, which includes:
- Construction of 1,008 affordable housing units.
- Development of associated civic infrastructure.
- Modern urban planning and residential facilities.
- Sustainable infrastructure aimed at improving living standards.
The project is expected to strengthen Seychelles’ affordable housing programme while supporting planned urban development.
Project Backed by EXIM Bank Funding
The USD 75 million project will be financed through the EXIM Bank of India’s Line of Credit, reflecting India’s continued support for infrastructure development in partner nations through concessional financing and technical expertise.
Agreement Signed in Presence of Senior Leaders
The agreement was signed on July 29, 2026, in the presence of:
- H.E. Sebastien Pillay, Vice President of the Republic of Seychelles.
- K. P. Mahadevaswamy, Chairman and Managing Director, NBCC.
The agreement was formally signed by:
- Joseph Francois, Secretary of State for Lands, Housing and Infrastructure, Republic of Seychelles.
- Pradeep Sharma, Executive Director (Engineering), NBCC.
Strengthening India’s Global Infrastructure Footprint
The Ile Aurore Housing Project marks another significant international assignment for NBCC and further expands the company’s presence in overseas infrastructure development.
The project is expected to:
