Google Pay Can Now Tell You Where Your Money Goes-Here’s How

Summarize with:
New Delhi, July 30(APAC Media): Google Pay has started rolling out a new Gemini AI-powered feature that can analyse users’ spending and answer personal finance questions inside the app. The feature is optional and lets users ask questions using text or voice.
The AI assistant can review a user’s transaction history to show spending patterns and explain where the money is being spent. It can also answer questions about SIPs, mutual funds, compound interest, credit scores and the difference between the old and new tax regimes.
The feature supports 10 Indian languages and is designed to help users better understand their finances. Google said users have to opt in before using the AI assistant and their financial data remains under their control.
The launch shows how digital payment apps are expanding beyond money transfers by adding AI-based financial tools. Instead of only processing payments, these platforms are now offering spending analysis, financial education and personalised insights within the app.
Google has also announced the Google Pay Flex SBI Card alongside the new AI feature, as it continues to expand its financial services ecosystem in India.
