Amaravati, July 30 (APAC Media): FemCare brand Healthfab has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Andhra Pradesh government to establish its second manufacturing facility for period care products in Kuppam, Chittoor district.Â
The company has acquired two acres of land for the project and will invest Rs. 15 crore to expand its manufacturing footprint.
The investment will be used to develop factory infrastructure, install advanced manufacturing equipment, strengthen quality assurance systems, adopt new technologies, and train the workforce. The project is expected to generate more than 700 direct and indirect employment opportunities in the region.
Facility to manufacture over four lakh period care products every month
The upcoming plant will house production units, quality testing laboratories, warehousing, research and development facilities, and administrative offices. Healthfab said the facility will have a monthly production capacity of over four lakh period- care panties. It will manufacture reusable period panties, disposable period panties, and other feminine hygiene products.
Healthfab’s first manufacturing facility is already operational in Bengaluru.
Leadership perspective
Commenting on the expansion, Kiriti Acharjee, Co-founder and CEO of Healthfab, said sustainability will be a key focus in the design and development of the new facility. The company plans to use energy-efficient machinery, responsible waste management and recycling practices, water conservation measures, reduced manufacturing waste through optimized production, and environmentally responsible sourcing and packaging.
Acharjee added that the new plant will strengthen the company’s quality control, innovation, production capacity, and supply chain while supporting its long-term growth strategy.
