New Delhi, July 30 (APAC Media): The Ministry of Tourism has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with InterGlobe Aviation Limited (IndiGo) to promote India as a preferred global tourism destination.
The agreement for the partnership was exchanged in New Delhi in the presence of Union Minister for Tourism and Culture Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.
Senior officials from the Ministry of Tourism, including Secretary Bhuvnesh Kumar and Additional Secretary and Director General (Tourism) Suman Billa, attended the event alongside IndiGo representatives led by Chief Digital and Information Officer Neetan Chopra.
‘Incredible India by IndiGo’ Campaign
Under the partnership, the Ministry and IndiGo will jointly launch a global communication campaign titled ‘Incredible India by IndiGo’. The initiative will showcase India’s diverse tourism offerings, including cultural heritage, spiritual circuits, natural landscapes, wellness, wildlife, adventure, and other experiential destinations.
Speaking on the occasion, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said the collaboration combines the ministry’s flagship Incredible India brand with IndiGo’s extensive domestic and international network, enabling India’s tourism story to reach wider audiences across the world.
Expanding India’s Global Tourism Footprint
The campaign will leverage multiple promotional platforms, including digital and print media, airport branding, in-flight channels, social media, and international travel exhibitions. While the Ministry will provide brand assets and promotional content, IndiGo will develop destination-focused campaigns and amplify tourism messaging across its customer engagement platforms.
The collaboration also includes joint participation in tourism promotion initiatives and destination-specific campaigns in key domestic and international markets.
The MoU is valid for an initial period of two years and reflects the shared commitment of the Ministry of Tourism and IndiGo to strengthen India’s global tourism brand, increase international tourist arrivals, and position the country as one of the world’s leading travel destinations.
