Bhubaneswar, July 14 (APAC Media): Housing and Urban Development Corporation Limited (HUDCO) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Odisha Government to provide term loans of up to Rs. 1 lakh crore over the next five years for urban infrastructure and housing development projects across the state.
The MoU aims to strengthen Odisha’s urban development by financing key infrastructure initiatives. The funding will support projects including land acquisition, housing development, and other urban infrastructure works under major state and regional programmes.
Major initiatives covered:
- Urban Challenge Fund (UCF)
- Bhubaneswar-Cuttack-Puri-Paradeep Economic Region (BCPPER)
- Mukhyamantri Sahari Vikas Yojana (MSVY)
In addition to financial support, HUDCO will provide project preparation and capacity-building assistance through its UiWIN initiative, helping improve planning and execution of urban development projects. The corporation will also offer flexible loan repayment terms of up to 25 years, making financing more accessible for long-term infrastructure investments.
The partnership is expected to accelerate Odisha’s urban transformation, strengthen housing and civic infrastructure, and support sustainable development while enabling the state to implement large-scale projects with enhanced financial and technical assistance.
