New Delhi, July 29(APAC Media): Toyota has launched the new-generation Hilux in India with prices starting at Rs 32 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated lifestyle pickup truck gets a refreshed design, new cabin features and the same 2.8-litre diesel engine that also powers the Fortuner. The model will be available in three variants – GX 4X2 AT, GX 4X4 AT and VX 4X4 AT, priced up to Rs 36.69 lakh (ex-showroom).
Toyota Hilux Price And Variants
The entry-level GX 4X2 AT is priced at Rs 32 lakh, while the GX 4X4 AT costs Rs 33.69 lakh. The top-spec VX 4X4 AT is available at Rs 36.69 lakh. Bookings are now open across Toyota dealerships and through the company’s official website.
The updated Hilux features a redesigned front fascia with a larger black grille carrying TOYOTA lettering, slimmer LED headlamps, a revised bumper and new 17-inch black alloy wheels. At the rear, the pickup gets updated LED tail lamps and a redesigned tailgate. Buyers can choose from six exterior colour options.
Inside, Toyota has added a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless phone charging and rear AC vents with USB Type-C charging ports.
Power comes from a 2.8-litre diesel engine producing 204 PS and 500 Nm, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Depending on the variant, buyers can choose between rear-wheel drive (RWD) and four-wheel drive (4WD). Safety features include seven airbags, electronic stability control, hill hold assist, front and rear parking sensors, and a 360-degree camera. Toyota says the pickup has secured five-star ratings in both ASEAN NCAP and Australian NCAP crash tests.
