Bengaluru, July 2 (APAC Media): Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has assigned the additional charge of Director (Marketing) to Rajnish Sharma.
The appointment is effective from July 1, 2026, for an initial period of three months. It follows the retirement of Venkata Suresh Kumar Kaipa, who superannuated on June 30, 2026.
Rajnish Sharma will hold the additional charge until September 30, 2026, or until a regular Director (Marketing) is appointed, whichever is earlier.
He will continue in his current role as Director (Bangalore Complex). The interim arrangement has been made to ensure continuity in BEL’s marketing operations.
The company informed the stock exchanges about the appointment in compliance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
Rajnish Sharma is a seasoned BEL executive with more than 33 years of experience in the organisation.
He joined BEL in 1990 after completing his Mechanical Engineering degree from Delhi College of Engineering in 1989.
Over the years, he has held key roles across several BEL units and strategic business divisions.
His key areas of expertise include:
- Radar Systems
- Secure Communication Systems
- Electronic Warfare and Avionics
- Naval Missile Systems
He has also contributed to several major defence programmes, including the Long Range Surface-to-Air Missile (LRSAM) project. His work has supported large-scale defence system integration and execution.
Sharma has been involved in international collaborations with leading defence companies, including:
- Thales (France)
- Selex (Italy)
- HSA (Netherlands)
- RAC (Russia)
- IAI (Israel)
He has also worked closely with the Electronics and Radar Development Establishment (LRDE) on several flagship defence programmes, including:
- Airborne Early Warning & Control System (with CABS)
- Flycatcher
- Weapon Locating Radar
- Reporter Radar
- Revathi Radar
- Rohini Radar
Sharma also holds several professional certifications in project management, quality, and business excellence, including:
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Certified Manager of Quality and Organisational Excellence (CMQ/OE)
- Six Sigma Certification
- CII Business Excellence Assessor
