New Delhi, July 2(APAC Media): Siddharth Mittal has been appointed as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Syngene International Limited, marking a leadership change at one of India’s leading contract research, development and manufacturing (CRDMO) companies.
He joins Syngene after leading Biocon as its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer. During his time at Biocon, he was involved in driving business strategy and managing the company’s operations. Before taking over as CEO, he served in key leadership roles including President & Chief Financial Officer and Vice President – Finance.
He started his professional career with S. R. Batliboi & Co. LLP before moving into the biotechnology sector, where he has spent more than two decades in finance, business strategy and executive leadership.
At Syngene, he will oversee the company’s overall business strategy with a focus on expanding its global CRDMO business, strengthening operational execution and supporting long-term growth. His appointment comes as demand for outsourced research, development and manufacturing services continues to grow among global pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.
