UltraTech said the turnaround at India Cements gathered pace during the quarter, with the company reporting a normalised profit after tax of Rs 52 crore in Q1 FY27 against a net loss of Rs 183 crore in Q1 FY25. The improvement was supported by an 18.5% increase in sales volumes.

The company said its expansion strategy remains focused on a mix of greenfield projects, brownfield expansions and debottlenecking initiatives to improve market reach and logistics efficiency.

The company also expanded the deployment of electric heavy-duty trucks for mining operations and clinker transportation as part of its green logistics initiative.
UltraTech said it has been recognised as a member of the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook 2026 for the Construction Materials sector, reflecting its progress in sustainability and responsible growth.
