New Delhi, July 24(APAC Media): Vivo is reportedly preparing to launch the Vivo S2 in India next month. A new leak suggests the smartphone could debut on August 6, while its first sale may begin on August 11. The company has not officially confirmed the launch date or specifications.
According to tipster Abhishek Yadav, the Vivo S2 is expected to arrive in 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB storage variants. The handset is also tipped to launch in Regal Bronze, Sapphire Blue, and Silk White colour options.
Recent leaks suggest the Vivo S2 could feature a 6.59-inch AMOLED curved display, a 50MP periscope telephoto camera, and a 7,000mAh battery. The phone is also expected to support 4K video recording from both the front and rear cameras. If accurate, these features could make it one of the few smartphones in its segment to offer both a large battery and a periscope zoom camera.
The device is tipped to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 chipset, which is expected to deliver mid-range performance for everyday use. Leaked renders also indicate a redesigned rear camera module similar to Vivo’s premium smartphone lineup.
Based on current leaks, the Vivo S2 could be priced between Rs 38,000 and Rs 45,000 in India. However, the final specifications, pricing, and availability will only be confirmed once Vivo makes an official announcement.
