Patna, September 23 (APAC Media): Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary has highlighted the state’s education initiatives, including 700 model schools providing online learning and preparation for competitive examinations such as JEE and NEET.
700 Model Schools Focus on Competitive Exams
According to the Chief Minister, around 3.5 lakh students are currently studying across the 700 model schools. The institutions have been equipped with facilities for online education and live classes.
The initiative aims to provide students in Bihar with access to preparation for major competitive examinations within the state. Choudhary said the government wanted to offer JEE and NEET preparation to students locally, reducing the need for students to travel outside Bihar for coaching.
The model schools are part of the state’s broader effort to strengthen school education through digital learning and access to additional academic support.
Vidyarthi Sathi App Offers Online Support
The Chief Minister also highlighted the Vidyarthi Sathi App, which provides students with access to teachers and online learning support beyond regular classroom hours.
More than 1.42 lakh students are using the platform for online learning, including during late-night hours. The app was launched in August across 700 Saraswati Vidya Niketan model schools in Bihar.
The platform was designed to provide 24×7 interactive academic support, with students able to connect with teachers for their learning needs. The initiative also includes digital study material for Bihar Board, JEE and NEET preparation.
The latest announcements underline Bihar’s focus on expanding digital education and competitive-exam preparation through its school network.
