Noida, Sep 9 (APAC Media): Britannia Industries Ltd has appointed Rejin Surendran as its Chief Digital & Information Officer (CDIO), as the FMCG major looks to strengthen its digital and technology capabilities.
Surendran will oversee the company’s digital and IT initiatives, with responsibilities spanning digital transformation, IT strategy, cloud, enterprise resource planning (ERP), data analytics, cybersecurity and technology-led business transformation.
He joins Britannia from Wipro Enterprises Ltd, where he was Global CIO and led digital transformation initiatives across the company’s global businesses.
Before Wipro Enterprises, Surendran was Head – Digital & ERP CoE, Bottling Investments Group at The Coca-Cola Company. He has also held several senior technology roles at Unilever, including IT Director – Make & Deliver and IT Director – Global Supply Chain Platform.
“Technology has become an important part of how businesses operate and grow. I look forward to working with the team at Britannia to strengthen its digital capabilities and use technology and data to support business priorities,” Surendran said.
His appointment comes at a time when companies across the consumer sector are stepping up investments in cloud platforms, data and analytics, cybersecurity and digital tools to improve efficiency and support faster decision-making.

With experience across the FMCG and consumer businesses, Surendran is expected to play a key role in shaping Britannia’s technology strategy and driving digital initiatives across the organisation.
