Chandigarh, September 18 (APAC Media): As part of a minor bureaucratic reshuffle, the Punjab government has transferred three IAS officers across different departments. Accordingly, IAS Anurag Verma has been appointed as the Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) of the Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department.
Additionally, he has also been given charge as the ACS of the Transport Department.Â
Before this appointment, Verma (1993 batch) served as the ACS-cum-Financial Commissioner of the Revenue, Rehabilitation, and Disaster Management Department.
Other appointments include
- IAS Jaspreet Talwar (1995 batch), presently ACS, Planning; Mines and Geology; and Justice, has now been appointed as the ACS-cum-Financial Commissioner, Revenue, Rehabilitation & Disaster Management. She will continue to serve as the ACS of the Mines and Geology Department; and Justice.
- IAS Arshdeep Singh Thind (2004 batch), currently Administrative Secretary, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare; and Horticulture, has been transferred and posted as Administrative Secretary, Rural Development and Panchayats, and Administrative Secretary, Planning. He will continue to serve as the Administrative Secretary, Horticulture.
