New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE, has released a notice regarding the procedure of assessment for Class 10 Board Exam 2021. In the notice, CBSE has explained the assessment procedure in which students of Class 10 will be assessed. Students can check the notice on the official website of CBSE, i.e., cbse.nic.in.
Due to the cancellation of the Board Examinations, the assessment of 80 marks will be done by the school:
• Based on the marks scored by the candidate in the different tests/exams conducted by the school during the year
• The marks should be in consonance with the past performance of the school in Class X Board examinations.
According to the notice, while 20 marks for each subject will be for internal assessment as every year, 80 marks will be calculated based on the students’ performance in various tests or exams throughout the year.CBSE has asked schools to form a results committee consisting of principals and seven teachers to finalise the results.
Five teachers from the school should be from Mathematics, Social Science, Science, and two languages, and two teachers from neighbouring schools should be co-opted by the school as the external members of the committee.
Class 10 board result by June 20
CBSE has further mentioned that the Class 10 board result 2021 will be announced by June 20. The notice reads: “All the schools have been asked to adhere to the timelines for submission of marks of internal assessment for the purpose of compilation and declaration of results tentatively by the third week of June 2021.” Schools have been asked to finalise results by May 25 and submit them to the Board by June 5. Internal assessment marks (out of 20) have to be submitted by June 11. CBSE will declare the Class results on June 20.
