Hyderabad: With a significant drop in the coronavirus cases along with a sharp decline in case positivity rate, the Telangana government decided to lift the Covid-19 lockdown in the state completely from June 19.
As per the state cabinet, Telangana was able to control the spread of infection faster than other states. The decision to end lockdown in Telangana was taken in wake of decline in Covid-19 cases not just across the country, but also in the neigbouring states.
The cabinet has instructed officials from all the departments to lift all restrictions imposed during the coronavirus-induced lockdown in the state.
Additionally, the state government has directed the Department of Education to start preparations to reopen all categories of educational institutions from July 1.
Students will now be allowed to attend the classes physically.The state government has also instructed the education department to prepare instructions and guidelines on class attendance, online classes and other related issues and release the same at the earliest.
Meanwhile, the state government has sought cooperation from people and has requested that they continue to follow Covid-19 protocols which include wearing face masks and maintaining social distance.
