New Delhi: The startups banking on emerging technologies & eying defence sector, it is time for them to be ready. The Ministry of Defence has launched the 5th edition of Defence India Startup Challenge ( DISC). It was launched by the Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in the presence of Defence Secretary Dr Ajay Kumar and other senior officials.
35 Problem Statements coming from Armed Forces and Defence PSUs have been listed in this year’s challenge. This includes AR/VR, AI, Structural Health Monitoring Systems, and other topics.
Selected startups can get upto INR 1.5 cr grants according to the official website.
“DISC-5 is bigger and more varied than earlier versions
DISC-5 is great opportunity for bright stars of Indian startup world to solve real life technology solutions for Armed Forces.
Last date to apply is October 8, 2021,” said Dr Ajay Kumar.
