New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) approved the appointments of as many as 12 IAS officers at Secretary/ Secretary-equivalent level in various Ministries and Department recently. Here is the full list of newly appointed bureaucrats:
Arun Singhal (IAS) has been appointed as Director General of National Archives of India under the Ministry of Culture in the rank of Secretary by temporarily upgrading the post to Secretary level. Singhal is a 1987-batch IAS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre. Presently, he is posted as Secretary in the Department of Fertilizers under the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers.
Anurag Jain (IAS) has been appointed as Secretary of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. Jain is a 1989-batch IAS officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre. Presently, he is posted as Secretary in the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
Rajesh Kumar Singh (IAS) has been appointed as Secretary of Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Singh is a 1889-batch IAS officer of Kerala cadre. Presently, he is posted as Secretary, Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying under the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying.
Alka Upadhyaya (IAS) has been appointed as Secretary of Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying under the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying. Upadhyaya a 1990-batch IAS officer. Presently, she is posted as Secretary in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.
Anjali Bhawra (IAS) has been appointed as Secretary of the National Commission for Minorities under the Ministry of Minority Affairs. Bhawra is a 1988-batch IAS officer of Punjab cadre. Presently, she is posted as Secretary of the Department of Social Justice & Empowerment.
Mukhmeet Singh Bhatia (IAS) has been appointed as Chairperson of National Authority Chemical Weapons Convention in the rank and pay of Secretary. Bhatia is a 1990-batch IAS officer of Jharkhand cadre. Presently he is posted Secretary of Ministry of Minority Affairs.
Saurabh Garg (IAS) has been appointed as Secretary in the Department of Social Justice & Empowerment. Garg is a 1991-batch IAS officer of Odisha cadre. Presently, he is posted as Chief Executive Officer of Unique Identification Authority of India.
Abhilaksh Likhi (IAS) has been appointed as Officer on Special Duty in the Department of Fisheries under the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying in the rank of Secretary. Likhi is a 1991-batch IAS officer of Haryana cadre. Presently, he is posted as Additional Secretary in the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.
V Vidyavathi (IAS) has been appointed as Officer on Special Duty in the Ministry of Tourism in the rank of Secretary. Vidyavathi is a 1991-batch IAS officer of Karnataka cadre. Presently, she is posted Director General in the Archaeological Survey of India. She will take over as Secretary of Ministry of Tourism vice Arvind Singh (IAS) upon his superannuation on May 31, 2023.
Rakesh Sarwal (IAS) has been appointed as Additional Secretary of Inter State Council Secretariat under the Ministry of Home Affairs. Sarwal is a 1988-batch IAS officer of Tripura cadre. Presently, he is posted as Managing Director of National Waqf Development Corporation Limited.
Rakesh Ranjan (IAS) has been appointed as Additional Secretary of Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare. Ranjan is a 1992-batch IAS officer of Manipur cadre. Presently, he is posted as Additional Secretary in the Department of Higher Education under the Ministry of Education.
Faiz Ahmed Kidwai (IAS) has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.
The ACC has also approved in-situ upgradation of the following officers to the level of Secretary I Additional Secretary to the Government of India as a measure personal to them by temporarily upgrading the posts held by them:
Rajinder Kumar Kashyap (lPoS) has been appointed as Special Secretary in the Department of Justice under the Ministry of Law & Justice in the rank of Secretary. Presently, he is posted as Additional Secretary in the same Department.
AR Sule (IDAS) has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Department of Atomic Energy. Presently, he is posted Joint Secretary in the same Department.
