New Delhi: Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Mayur Rational Govekar has been posted as the new Deputy Secretary (DS) in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH). Govekar has been appointed to this post under the Central Staffing Scheme (CSS), according to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), on Tuesday.
Govekar, an IAS officer of the 2014-batch, Tripura Cadre, will be serving in this new post for a duration of four years, effective from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Currently, he is serving as the District Magistrate and Collector of Gomati District, his home cadre.
The order stated, “He may kindly be relieved of his duties immediately with instructions to take up his new assignments in the Ministry of Road Transports & Highways.”
