Empire Industries Enhances Employee Connectivity

Empire Industries Enhances Employee Connectivity

Empire Industries is a 116 year old conglomerate that manufactures glass bottles for the pharma industry as well as machine tools and other industrial equipments.  Having grown through multiple acquisitions, the Empire conglomerate consists of quite a few companies who were having serious inter communication challenges.

With global headquarters based in Mumbai, the business divisions of the Empire Group include Vitrum Glass, Empire Machine Tools, Empire industrial equipments, Empire commercial properties, Grabbit, Empire Foods, Empire Business Center, Empire Centrum and Empire Prime Realty.

Communication Bottleneck at the Empire Group

The Empire group was ardently looking to establish a robust communication network for its employees across group companies to collaborate effectively and at the same time enhance their customers’ experience. The search was for a reliable digital connectivity and cloud solutions that would ensure seamless Primary Rate Interface (PRI) connectivity for Empire Industries.

They were facing challenges on three fronts.

  • Disintegrated Communication System: Empire Industries had a disintegrated communication system across two office spaces. This disintegration likely resulted in inefficiencies and difficulties in coordinating communication and collaboration.
  • Connectivity Issues with Marketing Teams: Empire Industries experienced connectivity issues with their marketing teams across India. This problem could have hindered effective communication and collaboration with marketing teams, potentially affecting their sales and marketing efforts.
  • Core Connectivity Communication Systems: The Empire group identified challenges related to its core connectivity communication systems, indicating that its existing infrastructure might not have been meeting their needs efficiently.

Empire Industries was particularly looking at this integration to enhance its communication infrastructure. The entire Empire focus for the necessary communication solution was five fold, viz.,

  • enabling efficient data transmission,
  • ensuring timely access to critical information and enhancing business reliability
  • providing  maximum security
  • assuring availability, allowing Empire Industries to access important applications without interruption.
  • making informed business decisions.

After an extensive search for appropriate solution providers who could meet most of these challenging criteria, Empire Group closed in on Tata Tele Business Services as a partner.  The PRI communication solution was integrated with the Empire Industries existing infrastructure. This was empowered to allow Empire employees to access critical data at the right time, ensuring business reliability.

Empire Industries Limited’s procurement strategy was focused on addressing the communication challenges they faced while upgrading their core connectivity. The company sought a solution that could seamlessly integrate with its existing infrastructure, enabling them to enhance their communication channels and create a more streamlined and efficient network. Their specific challenges included managing disintegrated operations across two office spaces and improving connectivity with their marketing teams throughout India.

Empire Industries Limited opted for Tata Tele Business Services (TTBS) as their chosen solution provider for several compelling reasons:

  • Technical Expertise and Support: Empire Industries consistently received invaluable technical support and assistance as needed from the TTBS team who responded promptly to any concerns raised, underlining their reliability and technical expertise.
  • Integration with Existing Infrastructure: TTBS provided a solution that seamlessly integrated with Empire Industries’ current hardware and systems. This alignment with the company’s strategy to upgrade its communication channels while preserving its existing infrastructure played a pivotal role in the decision-making process.
  • Seamless Communication Solution: TTBS introduced a reliable and seamless communication solution, the Primary Rate Interface (PRI). This solution greatly contributed to enhancing Empire Industries’ business operations by ensuring timely data access for enhanced business reliability.
  • Maximum Security and Availability: TTBS further strengthened their proposition by offering dedicated Internet Leased Lines. These lines provided not only maximum security but also a constant connection for accessing critical applications. This robust security and consistent availability were pivotal in supporting Empire Industries’ core business operations.

Dissecting the solution benefits

The selection by the Empire group was primarily based on three solution features. These included having a dedicated Internet Leased Line that could ensure maximum security, safeguarding Empire Industries’ sensitive data and information.  By installing dedicated Internet Leased Lines and providing maximum security, the partnership ensured availability and efficient core connectivity for Empire’s critical applications.

The entire Empire employees were also looking for assured availability that would offer uninterrupted access to critical applications, enabling their seamless business operations and boosting Empire productivity. The Empire Group was also looking for enhanced network connectivity that would facilitate seamless communication and efficient data transfer. This, in turn, would empower collaboration among Empire Group company employees, and more importantly informed decision-making, and driving growth and innovation within Empire Industries.

In absolute measurable terms, the benefits included

  • Improved Business Reliability: The implementation of the Primary Rate Interface (PRI) solution ensured that Empire Industries have seamless communication ,contributing to enhanced business reliability.
  • Maximum Security: The dedicated Internet Leased Lines provided uninterrupted connectivity backed by enterprise grade security. This implies that sensitive data and information were adequately protected.
  • Assured Availability: The solution ensured fast and constant connectivity, assuring uninterrupted access to critical applications.
