Guwahati: In an effort to boost development initiatives, the Assam government recently launched the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, an outreach programme aimed at educating people about various government schemes.
The programme has been launched from three tribal districts—Kokrajhar, Baksa, and Karbi Anglong.
For the coordinated launch in each district, the government has designated the following officers, following the approval of the Chief Secretary of Assam, for this initiative:
- JB Ekka, IAS, Principal Secretary to the Government of Assam, for Kokrajhar.
- Mukesh Ch. Sahu, IAS, Principal Secretary to the Government of Assam, for Baksa.
- Manish Thakur, IAS, Principal Secretary to the Government of Assam, for Karbi Anglong.
The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra aims to spotlight developmental projects and initiatives in these tribal districts, fostering growth and inclusivity. The primary objective is to engage with the local population, raise awareness, and communicate the benefits of various welfare programs.
