Bengaluru: The Australian government recently announced that Ananth Technologies and Digantara, an IISc-incubated company, will receive funding for joint projects under the International Space Investment India (ISI) program.
AUD 17.6 million (approximately Rs 95 crore) has been designated for three projects within the program: a low-Earth orbit satellite in Australia for tracking carbon emissions, a space debris cleanup project using an Australian-made orbital service vehicle launched by an Indian rocket, and a position, navigation, and timing system to connect satellite networks.
The collaboration will involve Space Machines Company, Skykraft, and LatConnect60 from Australia, and Skyroot from Hyderabad. Additional support will be provided to Skyroot from NewSpace India Limited, the National Remote Sensing Centre, and the Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology in New Delhi, as confirmed by the Australian Consulate-General.
