New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) under the Ministry of Commerce has appointed Rakesh Mohan Joshi as the Vice-Chancellor of the institution.
Prior to this appointment, Joshi was serving as the Dean of IIFT and was on deputation to the Indian Institute of Plantation Management in Bengaluru as its Director.
Prof Joshi has been academically associated with the Harvard Business School in Boston, IIFT, Rajasthan University, and the National Dairy Research Institute in Karnal.He has also been associated with the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, UNCTAD, the International Dairy Federation, and the Asian Productivity Organisation, among others.
Prof Joshi’s extensive background and vision for the institute align with the Ministry of Commerce’s goals of promoting India’s global trade competitiveness.
