New Delhi: The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has launched a new initiative to support MSMEs and startups in adopting new-gen technologies. The Telecom Sector of Excellence (TCoE) India has invited proposals for an “Industry 4.0 Baseline Survey among MSMEs,”. This purportedly aligns with the vision of fostering digital transformation and preparing industries for 5G and 6G technologies.
The survey aims to identify the challenges MSMEs face in adapting to Industry 4.0 technologies and what they need to migrate to 5G and 6G networks. It will span across 10 sectors, acknowledging the diverse MSME landscape, and offering tailor made support to encourage innovation and competitiveness.
Over 60 days, the survey will cover five sectors each in North and South of India. The resulting key recommendations will serve as the foundation for policy interventions aimed at facilitating the adoption of Industry 4.0 across MSMEs and startups.
Those MSMEs and Startups willing to participate in this transformative survey should submit their proposals by 11 June 2024.
