Hyderabad: South Asian Women in Tech (SAWiT) is expanding its outreach in Hyderabad to equip women with generative AI skills as part of a national initiative aimed at enhancing economic and technological empowerment. This expansion was announced at an event in partnership with T-Hub and the Hyderabad Software Enterprises Association (HYSEA).
The initiative focuses on providing women in Hyderabad with skills necessary for:
- Large-scale job placements
- Entrepreneurship
- Peer-to-peer learning
- Job readiness
SAWiT is committed to upskilling 500,000 women in the first phase of its program. The recent event brought together key players in the tech sector to discuss strategies for equipping women with AI skills, setting the stage for broader national outreach. SAWiT’s goal is to increase the participation of women in the workforce, contributing to India’s economic growth and advancing the country’s AI ambitions.
