New Delhi: Mahesh Chander Gupta is set to take charge as the Director (Marketing) of National Fertilizers Limited (NFL). The Public Enterprise Selection Board (PESB) has recommended his name from a list of 10 candidates who were interviewed by the panel. Currently, he holds the position of Chief General Manager (Business Development-Gas) at Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL).
As the Director (Marketing) of NFL, Gupta will act as the head of the market division of the company. He will be one of the members of the Board of Directors and report directly to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He has been endowed with the responsibility of overseeing the marketing operations of the company, including the formulation of marketing policies and their effective implementation.
National Fertilizers Limited is a Schedule ‘A’, Mini Ratna (Category-1) public sector enterprise. It was incorporated in the year 1974 with an aim to serve the farming community and other customers through timely supply of fertilizers and other products. The company has five gas-based manufacturing plants for urea production with an annual installed capacity of 35.68 LMT. NFL is committed to sustainable development and has adopted practices for environment management through the use of cleaner and greener fuel, energy conservation, and social upliftment.
