Chandigarh: The Punjab Government has orchestrated a major bureaucratic reshuffle under which it has transferred 25 IAS and 99 PCS Officers across the state. As per the transfer orders, senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) Officer Alok Shekhar (1994 batch) has been given the additional charge of Social Justice, Empowerment, and Minorities Department. He was earlier posted as the Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) of Jails.
The list of other notable IAS transfers includes:
Senior IAS DK Tiwari (1994 batch) has been given the charge of ACS in the Transport Department.
IAS Rahul Bhandari (1997 batch) has taken charge as Principal Secretary in the Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development, and Fisheries.
IAS Rahul Tiwari (2000 batch) has been given the additional charge of new and renewable energy sources. He was last posted as Secretary in the Housing Department.
IAS Sandeep Hans (2010 batch) will take charge as the Director of the Department for Social Justice, Empowerment, and Minorities.
IAS Sanyam Aggarwal (2012 batch) has become the Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation of Bathinda.
IAS HS Sudan (2013 batch) has been made Special Secretary in the Department of Revenue.
IAS Aditya Uppal (2015 batch), last serving as the Deputy Commissioner of Pathankot, has been assigned the additional charge of Commissioner in the Pathankot Municipal Corporation.
IAS Abhijeet Kaplish (2015 batch) has become the Director of Mines and Geology and has also taken the additional charge of Secretary of the Punjab Development Commission.
Ms. Neeru Katyal Gupta (2016 batch) has been given the charge of Chief Administrator of the Punjab Urban Planning and Development Authority.
IAS Ravinder Singh (2017 batch) has been appointed as the Director of the Department of Higher Education.
IAS Ankurjeet Singh (2018 batch) has been made Additional Commissioner of the Jalandhar Municipal Corporation.
IAS Chandrajyoti Singh (2020 batch) will hold the post of Additional Deputy Commissioner in the Department of Rural Development, Roopnagar.

PCS Gurpreet Singh Thind (2004 batch) has been transferred as the new Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) of Sri Muktsar Sahib.
PCS Navjot Kaur (2006 batch) has been appointed as the Additional Secretary (Personnel) in addition to the Additional Secretary (General Administration and Coordination).
PCS Rupinder Pal Singh (2011 batch) has been made the Secretary of the Regional Transport Authority of Bathinda.
PCS Amarbir Singh (2012 batch) has been given the charge of Joint Secretary of the Public Works Department (Buildings and Roads).
PCS Nayan (2012 batch) has been appointed as the Joint Secretary in the Water Supply and Sanitation Department.
