Gurugram: Telecom giant Bharti Airtel has announced the promotion of Vamsi Dasetty as Senior Vice President (SVP) and Head of HR – Network and People Analytics. In his expanded role, Vamsi will oversee human resources for Airtel’s network functions and lead the company’s people analytics initiatives. He will work closely with the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and the network leadership team, embodying Airtel’s ethos of “Be Limitless” in delivering value to internal and external customers.
Vamsi joined Airtel in 2020. He is an HR professional with experience across varied sectors including telecom, oil & gas, and management consulting. He previously served as Senior Vice President and Head of Total Rewards and HR Analytics. During his tenure, he has played a pivotal role in designing and implementing HR strategies that drive business results. Prior to Airtel, Vamsi held leadership positions at prominent organizations, including Group Head of Performance and Rewards at Ola (ANI Technologies). He has also contributed to HR functions at Vodafone, Cairn India, and McKinsey & Company.
An alumnus of the Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Vamsi brings over a decade of experience across sectors such as telecom, oil & gas, and management consulting. His key strengths include analytical and problem-solving skills in people-related initiatives. He holds expertise in HR generalist and specialist roles in rewards, business partnering, OD, and change management with strong linkage to business outcomes and delivery.
Airtel’s decision to elevate Vamsi highlights its focus on strengthening its HR leadership to support its growing network operations and leverage data-driven people management. Vamsi’s diverse expertise is expected to support Airtel’s ambitious initiatives in employee engagement and analytics-driven decision-making.
