New Delhi: Google has appointed Mitul Shah as the new Managing Director for its Devices and Services division. Shah, with extensive experience in the technology and consumer goods sectors, is expected to head the company’s efforts in expanding its product offerings and advancing AI-powered technologies.
Before joining Google, Shah held leadership roles at companies like Apple, where he managed consumer sales operations. He began his career at Maersk India and later worked at Infosys, focusing on supply chain management and forecasting. At Accenture, Shah led the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) Industry Group, collaborating with clients across North America, Europe, APAC, and India.
In his new role, Shah will oversee Google’s Pixel devices and other technologies, with a strong focus on the Indian market. India, according to Shah, remains critical for driving innovation and AI adoption. His appointment comes as Google increases its investment in the region, aiming to make its products more accessible to millions of users.
Shah’s strategic priorities include integrating AI into Google’s devices to improve productivity and creativity. The move aligns with the company’s broader vision of using AI to address everyday challenges and enhance user experiences.
This appointment reflects Google’s commitment to strengthening its foothold in India while competing in the increasingly crowded technology landscape. Under Shah’s leadership, the company is expected to explore new opportunities for growth in one of the fastest-growing markets for digital devices and services. He aims to prioritize innovation, enhance accessibility, foster digital inclusion, and drive the adoption of advanced technologies across India.
