Mumbai: As Reliance and Disney complete the process of forming a joint venture (JV) company, Piyush Goyal has been appointed as the Head of Distribution for the new entity.
Before this, Goyal has been serving as the Chief Operating Officer of Indiacast Media, a Viacom 18 venture since April 2023. In his new role for Reliance-Disney, he will oversee distribution strategies and partnerships for the merged entity.
Goyal will lead a team of three executives including Sumit Grover, who will be responsible for cable, DTH, and growth initiatives; Amit Shah, who will handle linear TV distribution strategy and collaborate with the sports strategy team; and Bindu Nair, who will lead distribution marketing efforts. The new leadership is poised to streamline and strengthen distribution channels for the JV, expanding its reach across India’s entertainment landscape.
