Lucknow: In a major bureaucratic rejig, the government of Uttar Pradesh has transferred 15 officers of the Indian Police Service which includes 9 District Superintendents of Police (SPs) and officers in specialized units. The restructuring aims to enhance policing, streamline administrative functions, and improve security measures across the state.
One of the notable transfers includes IPS Dr. Ajay Pal Sharma ( 2011 batch) who has been appointed as the Additional Police Commissioner for the Prayagraj Commissionerate. In this capacity, he will focus on strengthening security and improving the policing framework in one of the most important regions of Uttar Pradesh.

IPS Anup Kumar Singh (2014 batch) has been appointed the Commandant of the 35th Battalion, Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) in Lucknow. His role will be crucial in strengthening the PAC’s security capabilities.
