Raipur: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur, in collaboration with the Ministry of MSME’s Entrepreneurship and Skill Development Program (ESDP), has announced two free offline development programmes aimed at entrepreneurs and MSME owners. The programmes target individuals seeking to launch new ventures or scale up existing businesses.
The Advanced E-SDP for New Venture Creation will be held from February 3 to February 7, 2025, while the Advanced MDP for Business Scale-Up for MSMEs will run from February 3 to February 8, 2025. Both initiatives are fully funded by the ESDP division under the Ministry of MSME, making participation free of cost. Applications close on January 12, 2025.
The programmes are open to graduates aged 18 and above, with a focus on SC, ST, OBC, women, and differently-abled categories, especially from Chhattisgarh. Participants will be selected based on the ESDP guidelines after a review and shortlisting process.
The 5-day Advanced E-SDP for New Venture Creation aims to equip aspiring entrepreneurs with practical insights into starting a business. Key topics include entrepreneurial marketing, leadership, financing, legal compliance, and operational strategies. Participants will also learn about opportunities in various industries and corporate governance.
The Advanced MDP for Business Scale-Up for MSMEs is a 6-day programme designed to help small business owners overcome growth challenges. It will focus on building scalable business models, securing finances, and addressing issues specific to family-run businesses. Other key areas include global expansion strategies and sustainable business practices.
IIM Raipur’s Director, Professor Ram Kumar Kakani, emphasized the importance of supporting MSMEs and fostering entrepreneurship to strengthen India’s economic growth, with a focus on inclusivity and innovation.
Both programmes reflect a broader initiative to empower entrepreneurs and MSMEs by providing them with actionable skills and strategies, aligning with national goals such as Viksit Bharat 2047.
