Raipur, May 8 (APAC Media): Introduced under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, ‘Seva Setu’ the portal now provides access to more than 441 public services through an integrated digital platform.
Single-Window Platform for Government Services
The ‘Seva Setu’ platform has now introduced a single-window digital system that allows residents to apply for services online from home or through nearby service centres.
Officials said the platform has helped reduce paperwork, save time, and minimise dependence on intermediaries. Citizens can also track applications and receive documents within prescribed deadlines.
Major Upgrade Over Previous e-District System
The new portal is a significant expansion of the earlier e-District system, which offered only 86 services.
According to officials, ‘Seva Setu’ now integrates more than 30 government departments and includes 54 newly added services along with 329 redirected services from different departments. The integration allows citizens to access multiple government facilitiesÂ
High Disposal Rate Under Public Service Guarantee Act
The state government said the portal has shown strong performance under the Chhattisgarh Public Service Guarantee Act.
Performance Indicators:Â
- 75.7 lakh+ total applications received
- 68.4 lakh+ applications successfully resolved
- Over 95% resolution rate within deadline
WhatsApp Integration Improves Accessibility
To make the system more accessible, the ‘Seva Setu’ portal has also been integrated with WhatsApp, allowing citizens to access services more conveniently.
The platform has recorded over 3.3 crore digital transactions so far, indicating rising public trust and growing adoption of online governance services across the state.
Focus on Transparency and Faster Service Delivery
Officials said the portal operates on a real-time electronic workflow system that allows continuous monitoring of applications and service timelines
With this, the ‘Seva Setu’ initiative is increasingly being viewed as a strong example of digital governance and citizen-centric administration.Â
