Saharanpur, May 8 (APAC Media): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 325 development projects worth ₹2,131 crore in UP’s Saharanpur district.
The projects cover several sectors, including roads, healthcare, education, drinking water, and urban infrastructure.
Major Push for Infrastructure and Connectivity
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said better roads and transport networks would strengthen trade, support industrial growth, and generate employment opportunities in the region.
He also highlighted improved expressway connectivity linking Dehradun, Saharanpur, Shamli, and Baghpat, saying these projects have reduced travel time to Delhi and contributed to overall regional development.
Investments in Healthcare, Education and Water Supply
Under the healthcare initiatives, new hospitals and upgraded health centres are expected to improve access to medical services for residents.
Educational institutions, including schools and colleges, are also being upgraded to strengthen infrastructure and improve learning facilities for students.
Meanwhile, new drinking water schemes are being introduced to ensure better access to clean water in both rural and urban areas.
Focus on Industry and Regional Growth
“Saharanpur is emerging as an important centre for development, especially in woodcraft and local industries. Government support has helped local artisans gain wider recognition, boosting exports and creating employment opportunities,” said Yogi Adityanath.
The Chief Minister also referred to plans for an industrial logistics hub in the region, which will attract investment and economic growth.
Officials said the projects reflect the government’s broader focus on integrated regional development through infrastructure expansion, connectivity, and welfare initiatives.
