New Delhi: Google is strengthening its focus on education in India through two major partnerships aimed at making quality learning accessible and inclusive. Collaborating with the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), Google will launch YouTube channels offering multilingual educational content for students from grades 1 to 12. Simultaneously, Google Cloud India has partnered with Infinity Learn by Sri Chaitanya to leverage advanced AI technologies for hyper-personalized learning experiences.
Under its partnership with NCERT, Google will help roll out YouTube channels in 29 Indian languages, including Indian Sign Language, to support students, teachers, and parents. This initiative aligns with the National Education Policy 2020’s emphasis on digital inclusion and multilingual education. The channels aim to cater to a diverse audience across India, ensuring accessibility even in underserved regions.
In parallel, Infinity Learn, a hybrid learning platform, will use Google Cloud’s AI stack, including Gemini and Vertex AI, to personalize learning for K-12 students. The focus will be on students preparing for competitive exams like JEE and NEET, particularly those in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. By analyzing student data and offering customized resources, this collaboration aims to bridge learning gaps and empower students pursuing careers in medicine, engineering, and technology.
Jonathan Katzman, Director of Product Management at YouTube Learning, emphasized the role of technology in democratizing education, stating, “Accessible digital tools and resources are key to unlocking the nation’s potential.” He further noted that innovative technologies like Gemini and Vertex AI can redefine how students learn by tailoring educational content to individual needs.
These initiatives mark a significant step toward transforming education in India, blending government-backed efforts with cutting-edge private-sector technologies. As digital education continues to grow, such collaborations aim to reduce inequities and improve learning outcomes for students nationwide.
