Mumbai: DataStax has appointed Darshana Shetty as the Area Vice President and Country Manager for India. In her new role, Darshana will drive the expansion of DataStax’s flagship products, including DSE and AstraDB, in the Indian market.
Sharing the news of her appointment on LinkedIn, Darshana highlighted her vision for her new role, stating, “This journey is not just about closing deals or winning logos. It’s about building a high-performing sales team, training people to build lasting relationships, and developing higher goals to achieve targets. With over 16 years of experience in enterprise sales and strategic business management, Darshana has expertise in leading large business units in BFSI and IT-enabled services. She has a proven track record in securing major enterprise deals and managing top system integrators, including TCS, HCL, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, and Infosys.
Before joining DataStax, Darshana held the position of Director of Sales at Confluent. She has also contributed to the success of global tech giants like HP and Cisco. Darshana holds an M.Com in Business, Management, and Marketing from the University of Mumbai and an MBA from St. Xavier’s College.
Darshana’s appointment marks a significant step for DataStax in strengthening its presence in India, furthering its commitment to empowering enterprises with cutting-edge database and AI solutions.
