New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has introduced a six-month Executive Program in Virtual and Augmented Reality. The course, offered under its Continuing Education Program (CEP), is designed to train professionals in the fast-evolving fields of AR and VR, which are now being used widely in industries like healthcare, education, gaming, and retail.
Why This Matters ?
The global market for AR and VR is expected to grow from $22.12 billion in 2024 to $96.32 billion by 2029, according to industry estimates. This growth is being driven by increasing adoption of these technologies in various fields and higher investments in innovation. However, there is a lack of trained professionals to meet the rising demand, and IIT Delhi’s Program aims to fill this gap.
What the Program Offers ?
Comprehensive Training: The course includes 10 modules covering AR-VR development, designing immersive experiences, game development, and prototyping.
Hands-on Experience: Participants will learn to use tools like Unity, Unreal Engine, Adobe Photoshop, and After Effects.
Capstone Project: The Program includes a final project where learners will work on real-world AR and VR applications.
Flexible Format: The course will be delivered online through live sessions, with one day of on-campus immersion at IIT Delhi.
