New Delhi: Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, before departing for Davos to attend the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2025, underlined India’s achievements in fostering inclusive development and transformative growth under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Vaishnaw emphasized that India’s development model, focused on uplifting marginalized sections of society, is garnering significant global interest. “Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi has put a huge focus on inclusive development and growth which brings a big transformative change in the lives of the people at the bottom of the pyramid, people who have been left out of development over many decades in the past,” he said.
He highlighted initiatives such as financial inclusion through bank accounts, access to basic necessities like toilets, gas connections, and tap water, as well as robust infrastructure development in rural and urban areas. “This is something which the world wants to understand,” Vaishnaw added.
The Union Minister also noted the growing interest in India’s digital transformation, which is driven by the Digital India program. “There is a lot of interest in understanding our thought process, PM’s economic policy, about the digital transformation, about the way India has created new digital architecture under the Digital India programme of PM Narendra Modi, and also the way technology has been democratised,” he said.
At WEF, discussions will focus on inclusive growth, investments in social, physical, and digital infrastructure, and the democratisation of technology. India’s successful model of sustainable and inclusive development is set to take centre stage as global leaders and investors seek insights into its transformative policies.
