New Delhi: Samsung has launched the ‘Galaxy Empowered’ initiative to train teachers in technology integration, aiming to reach 20,000 educators by next year.
Programme Details
The initiative, launched in the presence of Olympic gold medallist Abhinav Bindra, focuses on equipping teachers, principals, and administrators with digital tools to enhance classroom learning. The training includes online and offline sessions, hands-on workshops, and certification opportunities.
Samsung has partnered with Mahattattva Educational Advisory and STTAR for the initial phase. Specialized trainers and academicians have been brought in to guide educators. The programme is free for both teachers and schools.
Implementation and Progress
Since December 2024, over 2,700 teachers across India have received certification through live training sessions. In Delhi, Samsung has conducted the programme in 250 schools. The initiative aims to foster a tech-driven teaching environment, improving student engagement and streamlining classroom activities.

Samsung India’s Senior Vice President, MX Business, Raju Pullan, stated that the initiative aligns with the company’s goal of integrating technology into education. Abhinav Bindra emphasized that teacher upskilling is crucial for improving learning outcomes.
