Gurugram: Samsung has introduced a Health Records feature on its Samsung Health app, in line with the Indian government’s Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM). This feature empowers users to securely manage their medical information digitally, minimizing reliance on physical paperwork and streamlining healthcare management.
-
Seamless Access to Health Records
The new feature allows users to create and access their Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) directly from the Samsung Health app. Once registered, users can view and manage their medical history, including prescriptions, lab results, and hospital visits, all linked to their unique ABHA ID.
The integration aims to simplify healthcare by enabling users to store and share their records with healthcare providers across India. Registration for an ABHA account can be completed using Aadhaar or a mobile number, providing access to a secure, ABDM-certified health locker for easy record retrieval.
-
Enhanced Healthcare Experience
The Health Records feature further streamlines outpatient services. At ABDM-compliant hospitals and clinics, users can scan a QR code through the app to generate a virtual queue token, significantly reducing wait times.
-
Collaboration with Eka Care
Developed in partnership with Eka Care, an ABDM-certified integrator, the feature underscores Samsung’s commitment to digital healthcare solutions. Deepak Tuli, co-founder of Eka Care, expressed optimism about the collaboration, highlighting its potential to boost the adoption of digital health tools and enhance India’s connected healthcare ecosystem.

Comprehensive Health Management
Beyond health records, the Samsung Health app offers various features such as medication reminders, sleep tracking, mindfulness programs, and irregular heartbeat notifications.

Secure and User-Friendly
Samsung ensures the security of all user data through its Knox Security Platform. Indian users can access the Health Records feature by updating the Samsung Health app via the Galaxy Store or Google Play Store.
