Chennai: In a significant bureaucratic reshuffle, the Tamil Nadu government has transferred and posted 38 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers across key departments and districts.   • IAS J. Radhakrishnan has been designated as Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Limited (TANGEDCO) and TNPGCL, ensuring leadership continuity in the energy sector.

  • IAS Supriya Sahu, who was previously Secretary of Health and Family Welfare, has been reappointed as Secretary of the Environment, Climate Change, and Forests Department.

  • IAS P. Senthil Kumar will now lead the Health and Family Welfare Department, a crucial portfolio overseeing public health policies and initiatives.

  • IAS J. Jayakanthan has been appointed as Secretary of the Public Works Department.

  • IAS Mangat Ram Sharma will take charge as Secretary of the Water Resources Department.

  • IAS B. Chandramohan is now the Secretary of the School Education Department.

  • IAS C. Samayamoorthy has been posted as Secretary of Higher Education.

  • IAS G. Prakash has been assigned as Secretary of Human Resources Management.

  • IAS K. Gopal will oversee the Special Initiatives Department.

  • IAS K. Manivasan has been appointed as Secretary of Tourism, Culture, and Endowments.

  • IAS Satyabrata Sahoo will now head the Cooperation, Food, and Consumer Protection Department.

  • IAS Pavankumar G. Giriyappavanar has been posted as Coimbatore Collector.

  • IAS Ranjeet Singh has been given charge as Theni Collector.

  • IAS V.S. Narayana Sarma has been made the Additional Collector (Development) of  Chengalpattu.

  • IAS Sanket Balwant Waghe has become the Additional Collector of Coimbatore.

  • IAS N. Ponmani has been posted as the Additional Collector of Salem.

  • IAS A. Catherine Saranya has taken charge as the Additional Collector of Dharmapuri.

  • IAS Arpit Jain has taken over as the Additional Collector of Erode.

  • IAS T.N. Venkatesh will assume the role of  CMD of Poompuhar Shipping Corporation Limited.

  • IAS Kiran Gurrala has been appointed as the MD of the Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board.

This large-scale reshuffle highlights the Tamil Nadu government’s strategy to streamline governance and bring in new leadership for various departments, ensuring effective administration across the state.
