New Delhi: Cloudflare has launched a new free email security solution for political parties and campaigns.
This Cloudflare for Campaigns marks a significant update to its phishing capabilities. The Email Security feature is being upgraded to secure email systems that are essential to safeguard the integrity and success of a political campaign.
In retrospect, Cloudflare for Campaigns was launched in 2020 in partnership with the Defending Digital Campaigns organization. It has now been extended to beef up email security.
By preventing phishing, spoofing and other email threats, Cloudflare for Campaigns protects candidates, other political party staff and supporters from cyberattacks that could compromise sensitive data.
Recently during the 2024 US election, Cloudflare scanned 5.7 million emails for campaigns and political parties, blocked 400,000 malicious messages before they reached the campaign team members, detected, as well as, blocked 21,000 suspicious emails and prevented 14,000 unique spoofing attempts.
Hopefully, Indian political parties can now replicate this facility in future Indian elections too.
Cloudflare for Campaigns can help Indian political parties with phishing protection, email authentication, real-time monitoring, seamless integration and insightful reporting among others.
