New Delhi: In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Union Ministry of Home Affairs announced the transfer of 40 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and 26 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers of the Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territories (AGMUT) cadre. Officers have been transferred across Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Puducherry, Goa, Lakshadweep, Mizoram, and Arunachal Pradesh. As per the official notification, IAS Ashish Chandra Verma (1994 batch), presently the Additional Chief Secretary (Finance), has been transferred to Jammu & Kashmir.
Among all regions, Delhi witnessed the highest number of movements, with 21 IAS and 23 IPS officers either transferred out of or posted back to the capital.Â

In line with the center’s reshuffle, the Delhi government also carried out internal transfers of 42 senior AGMUT and DANICS cadre IAS officers.

- IAS A Ambarasu (1996 batch) – Principal Secretary (Home); now Principal Secretary (Services).
- IAS Nikhil Kumar (2002 batch) – Appointed Health Secretary and given additional charge of IT Secretary.
- IAS Neeraj Semwal (2003 batch) – Assigned Secretary (Revenue)-cum-Divisional Commissioner.
