Agartala: The Tripura government has started integrating AI tools into its different administrative processes. This includes digital initiatives like e-Office, e-Cabinet and the Beneficiary Management System (BMS).
Artificial intelligence (AI) can significantly improve the accountability of different administrative institutions, enhance transparency and elevate the overall quality of public service delivery.
According to IAS Kiran Gitte, Secretary, Industries & Commerce (inclu. IT & exclu. HH&S), Health & Family Welfare, Public Works Department (R&B), G.A. (Good Governance), CEO, Tripura Institution for Transformation, AI has emerged as a powerful tool for data-driven decision making, faster service delivery and improved operational efficiency.
The AI-related steps align with the vision of Digital Tripura. Once the state is fully equipped, it will gain access to licensed AI tools.
Tripura will need a strong big data infrastructure to leverage these AI tools. Accordingly, the state has started building integrated databases even as the data pool grows.
Subsequently, AI will ensure seamless cross-platform integration, boosting efficiency across departments. The government officials are being equipped with insights into practical AI applications in public service delivery.
