Saugata Gupta reappointed MD & CEO of Marico until 2028. Board decision extends his leadership of the Indian FMCG giant.

New Delhi: Saugata Gupta has been reappointed as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Marico Limited, a prominent FMCG firm in India, for an additional two-year term beginning 1 April 2026 and ending 31 March 2028.

According to documents with the stock exchanges, the decision was made at the May 2, 2025, meeting of the Board of Directors.

In 2004, Saugata became Head of Marketing at Marico, and in 2007, he was promoted to CEO of India Business.

Since taking over as the company’s MD and CEO in 2014, he has been instrumental in creating Marico’s growth strategy, innovation, and international expansion.
