Bhopal: In a significant late-night administrative shake-up, the Madhya Pradesh government announced the transfer and posting of seven IPS officers. As per the official order, IPS Himani Khanna (2006 batch) has been appointed the new Inspector General (IG) of Sagar Range. She has also been given additional charge as Director of Jawaharlal Nehru Police Academy (JNPA).
The list of other key transfers and postings includes
- IPS Chandrashekhar Solanki (2006 batch): His earlier posting as JNPA Director has been cancelled. He has now been appointed as IG of State Armed Forces (SAF), Indore.
- IPS Sunil Kumar Pandey (2009 batch): Transferred from DIG Police Management at Police Headquarters to become the DIG of Sagar Range.
- IPS Kalyan Chakravarthy (2010 batch): Moved from DIG SAF Bhopal to take charge as DIG of Chhindwara Range. He has been a key member of the SIT in the Vijay Shah case.
- IPS Nagendra Singh (2014 batch): Relieved from his role as SP of Balaghat and appointed as Commandant of the 25th Battalion, Bhopal.
- IPS Aditya Mishra (2018 batch): Transferred from SP Rajgarh to become the SP of Balaghat.
- IPS Amit Tolani: Previously Commandant of the 24th Battalion, Jawara, now appointed as SP of Rajgarh.
These transfers reflect the state government’s continued focus on optimizing law enforcement leadership to enhance public safety across Madhya Pradesh.
