Kolkata: The Library Committee of the West Bengal Assembly is bringing out a book featuring a compilation of speeches of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee made in the assembly.
The compilation will include statements made during prominent projects like Kanyashree, Lakshmi Bhandar and Swasthya Saathi. These projects have gone on to earn global acclaim subsequently.
The draft of the book has already been prepared and is currently awaiting the approval of the CM. Once approved, the book will go for publication.
As the first woman CM of West Bengal, these speeches will provide a deeper understanding of the contemporary political situation, quality of life and political ideology.
It could also inspire the present and future generations to pursue socially relevant projects.
After Bidhan Chandra Roy, this will be the second official book on the speeches of the current West Bengal CM.
