Gandhinagar:Â In a major administrative reshuffle, the Gujarat government has appointed senior IAS Kaul Sanjay Moolchand (2001 batch) as the new Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of GIFT City Company Ltd., Gandhinagar.
Moolchand has been appointed for a three-year deputation period or until further orders, effective from the date he assumes charge.
His appointment comes at a crucial juncture as GIFT City gains momentum as a global financial and fintech hub. Moolchand’s leadership is expected to steer GIFT City into its next phase of strategic development, aligned with Gujarat’s vision of making it a world-class international business destination.
In another development, IAS K.S. Vasava, IAS (2013 batch), who was serving as CEO of Surat Urban Development Authority (SUDA), has been transferred as the District Development Officer (DDO) of Dangs-Ahwa. He replaces IAS Patil Anand Ashok, who was holding additional charge of the post and has now been relieved.
The government has also revised the posting of IAS Suthar Raj Rameshchandra (2019 batch). Previously appointed as DDO of Narmada-Rajpipla, his services have now been assigned to the Urban Development & Urban Housing Department, where he will take over as the new CEO of SUDA, Surat, succeeding K.S. Vasava.
